Alibaba Aims To Grow Its User Base In India

Alibaba Group plans to expand its user base in India.

Alibaba Group Holding limited is interested in growing at a rapid pace. The Hangzhou-based enterprise’s business-to-business division Alibaba.com stated in the coming years it wants to extend its Indian user base by more than double by making 5 million enterprises sign-in on its wholesale platform that is known for facilitating trade. The platform that connects wholesale buyers and sellers across the globe has 40 million users internationally and 4.5 million users in India.

Alibaba news exclaimed that an official at the company’s B2B division, Timothy Leung addressed the media by stating, “India is a very important market for us. It is the second largest for us after China. SMEs are an important contributor to any economy and the same is the case with India… In the next few years, we hope to have 10 million businesses from India on our platform.”

He also stated that the company intends to support the small medium enterprises’ trading enterprise to play a role in helping them scale and grow up. According to the plan, the division has collaborated with Indian corporations to introduce an online network known as Small and Medium Industries Leveraging Export.

Mypacco, ICIC Bank. Tally, Crisil Rating, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and SGS have turned into collaborators of the SMILE program in inspection, verification, electronic lending, software, online logistics, credit rating, and financing particularly.

Alibaba news today affirmed that to help the organization achieve its growth related objective, it has planned a Hindi portal for its B2B operations. The ecommerce enterprise does not only intend to cater the needs of the Indian small and medium enterprises but also intends to cooperate with  the Government of India as its Chairman and founder Jack Ma interacted with PM Narendra Modi and talked about the chances of collaborating for ventures such as Digital India and Make in India.

Leung stated, “This will make it more convenient for SMEs to get on board with Alibaba. We have a team of Indian tech support (at its headquarters in Hangzhou, China), working for making the Hindi version of the website.”

Alibaba Breaking news reported that from the second most populated country, the famous trading categories would be jewelry, gems, beverage, food, and textile sectors. The SMILE network also intends to offer new services and goods, benefitting from the capacities of joining businesses. For example, helping Indian suppliers with an excellent trading record, depending upon their previous trading and logistics history, reach local lenders.

The Chinese organization has proclaimed its growth related target at a time when it is aiming to lure more high-class manufacturers to improve its online market’s overall image, which has been previously undermined by allegations of delivering substandard items. It faced many such allegation lately.
